Top 100 Third Party
Logistics Provider for 2004
Detroit, Mich., August 16, 2004 — National Logistics Management (NLM), a
Detroit-based third party logistics provider, was named as one of the Top 100
Third Party Logistics Providers for 2004 by Inbound Logistics. NLM is the only
North American logistics company to specialize solely in premium freight
shipping for the manufacturing industry and was selected from a pool of more
than 400 candidates.
Third Party Logistics
Providers, or 3PLs, were evaluated on a number of criteria including logistics
services and capabilities, technology services and capabilities, markets
served, dollar amount of logistics contracts under management, and 2003
revenue.
NLM operates within a
specific niche of the 3PL landscape. It provides only premium freight services
and manages those emergency shipments needed to arrive at manufacturing plants
in an extremely tight time frame to protect the plant and keep it from shutting
down.
